College lacrosse star dies unexpectedly at Age 19
A 19-year old member of the University of Massachusetts Amherst men’s lacrosse team has been killed.
Aidan Kaminska was a sophomore communication major and died "unexpectedly" on Memorial Day according to an obituary . It did not include a cause.
Kaminska was born in Stonybrook, New York. He played midfield for the Minutemen, which is a combination offense and defense.
The obituary says that Aidan was well-known for his infectious smile, being a friend and a great athlete.
On Wednesday, the university athletics division extended its condolences to Aidan's friends, family, and teammates in a statement
Lydia Johnston Kaminska Kaminska, Kaminska’s mother, shared videos and photos from her son over the years on Facebook.
"My beautiful son. Aidan. She wrote Monday, "My heart is forever broken."
After scoring three goals against Hofstra University, Kaminska was named Rookie-of-the Week.
